As for the wireless, the Mac mini (2.3GHz Intel Core i7, Late/Server 2012) has standard AirPort Extreme (802.11a/b/g/n) and Bluetooth 4.0. The net top has an HDMI video out and a Thunderbolt port, four USB 3.0 ports and one Firewire 800 port, a built-in mono-speaker, an audio-out mini-jack and an audio line-in/digital audio input. The Mac mini (2.3GHz Intel Core i7, Late/Server 2012) features a top-class quad-core 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7 (3615QM) processor, 4GB of RAM (PC2-10600), two 1 TB Ultra ATA/100 hard drive (5400 RPM) and Intel HD Graphics 4000 graphics with 512MB of integrated memory. The line-up of late 2012 got the faster and more elaborate Intel Ivy Bridge processor and up-to-date USB 3.0 ports. It’s a net-top in a cuboid aluminum casing with an internal power unit, a Thunderbolt port, a removable panel on the bottom to provide an access to upgradeable RAM and no internal optical drive. Thanks OWC!The Mac mini (2.3GHz Intel Core i7, Late/Server 2012) is a revised server iteration of the Mac mini (2.5GHz Intel Core i5, Late 2012) with a faster quad-core Intel processor and two 1 TB hard drives. What really stuns me is using the SSD as a boot drive: ridiculously fast startup and load times from the time I press the power button on.

I dig how it even plays well with some years-old hardware as well (the inclusion of four USB 3.0 ports is a true boon). In fact, a lot of these apps were run before on a 2007 MacBook as a testament to the longevity and inclusiveness of Mac OSX's attitude toward older applications. Sometimes I do run into an error with legacy apps, but these are easily resolvable and do not impinge on my using them at all.

It amazes me how much Mac OS X, even at this latest version of Sierra, can still handle all these varying aged applications and still run smoothly. I am not disappointed in the least, as it runs my legacy Adobe CS5 Master Suite apps, Reason 9.1, Corel Painter X, and a variety of new and old apps.

DecemNeeding a compact yet strong computer for my work and home needs, I decided to purchase a late-2012 Mac Mini kitted out with 16GB RAM plus a 240GB SSD + 500 GB hybrid drive all under a grand.

I would recommend this item to a friend! This review is from Apple Mac mini (2012) 2.5GHz Dual Core i5 - Used, Very Good condition. Now I understand why! Thus, I will continue to remain a loyal customer. After a complete and thorough explanation by OWC's Customer Service Department, I understood why any change from the advertised product would incur an addition fee it takes time to customize or make any change from what is initially advertised. I was curious as to why the most current MacOS - High Sierra - was not on the machine. It promptly arrived in great (like new!) condition, with all hardware I wanted.Īfter delivery, I had a question about the installed MacOS - El Capitan.
